JOB TITLE: PHYSICAN

JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Physician shall be responsible for participating in the process of
determining eligibility for persons applying for regional center services,
in the review of consumer’s health status and working with regional center
staff and community physicians to facilitate optimal medical care for
active consumers. Works closely with Regional Center nurses and psychologists.
• Completes neurological and general examinations when appropriate, assists with the preparation of reports relating to the consumer’s medical status or eligible diagnosis, recommends further evaluations as needed.
• Maintains liaison with the medical community.
• Provides consultation with regional center staff on medical and health related problems of the consumer.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
M.D. degree, expertise in pediatrics, internal
medicine and/or neurology,
specific training or experience in the field of developmental disabilities,
belief in the philosophy of normalization, ability to work with persons
with developmental disabilities of any age, valid California driver's
license, valid California medical practitioner's license.
LOCATION: City of Santa Ana, Orange County, Southern California Area
MONTHLY SALARY RANGE: $9,811 - $13,495
BENEFIT PACKAGE INCLUDES:

JOB FUNCTIONS:
The Director shall be responsible for supervising
and participating in the process of determining eligibility for persons
applying for regional center services. The Director shall be responsible
for supervising and participating in the review of consumer’s health status
and working with regional center staff and community physicians to facilitate
optimal medical care for active consumers.
Evaluates the medical and related aspects of eligibility of persons applying
for services by way of case conferences, clinical examinations, review
of case records and contacts with community physicians. Works closely
with the Regional Center psychologists and nurses.
• Completes neurological and general examinations when appropriate, assists with the preparation of reports relating to the consumer’s medical status or eligible diagnosis, recommends further evaluations as needed.
• Provides over-all supervision of the on-going medical needs of consumers.
• Maintains liaison with the medical community.
• Provides consultation

regular position for a Spanish-speaking Pediatrician at one of our clinics
in the Central Los Angeles/Hollywood area. The clinic, integrated within
the Bresee community center (www.bresee.org), serves the needs of low-income
families, the majority Spanish speaking. The center, in addition to primary
health care, provides education, technology and job preparation, recreational
activities and other support and outreach services to nearby children,
youth and their families.

Job Requirements: Board certified Pediatrician to provide primary care out-patient services to infants, school-age children and youth. Spanish-speaking highly desirable.
